Sama Eyewear stands for noble and exclusive glasses and sun glasses. Behind the name Sama is the international renowned designer Sheila Vance, who founded Sama as being the financial basis for the Sam Vance Foundation, initiated by her. After the death of heroin of her only son Sam, aged 19, she made the fight against drugs to her mission and want to support young people and young adults after their exit from drug addiction, to continue to live a life without drugs. It is one of her main concerns to make the world a bit better and nicer. She makes her contribution hereto by donating a certain percentage of all earnings from her glasses collections to the foundation and to other non-profit associations. With her Arabian Nights collection she revolutionized the world of glasses for ever. Sama developed as the first company glasses purely made of titanium. One of the most popular collections is “Arabian Nights”, which combines precious gems with titanium. This collection is inspired by the fairytale of Scheherazade, in which the designer felt a part of herself.
